North Melbourne has made three changes to its line-up ahead of Saturday night's big match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium.

Midfielder George Wardlaw has been named to play his first game of the season, as has defender Aidan Corr and ruck-forward Callum Coleman-Jones.

As reported earlier in the week, Griffin Logue will miss at least the next two weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained in the Round 2 loss to West Coast.

Forwards Jacob Konstanty and Jack Darling have both been omitted and will take up two of the emergency roles alongside Zac Banch.

Saturday night's ball-up is scheduled for 7.35pm AEDT.

North Melbourne's VFL side will begin its campaign against Essendon on Saturday afternoon, with that game set to begin at 12.35pm AEDT at the NEC Hangar in Tullamarine.
