Charlie Spargo will make his North Melbourne debut in Saturday's Gather Round match against Brisbane in the Barossa Valley.
Spargo, who joined the Kangaroos in October as a free agency recruit from Melbourne, learned the news at Arden St on Thursday afternoon.
The 26-year-old small forward impressed in his first full VFL game in his new colours last Friday, kicking two goals from 17 touches in the Roos’ win over Carlton.
Spargo played 108 games for the Demons after being selected with pick No.29 in the 2017 AFL Draft. He was a part of Melbourne's 2021 flag success.
His debut for North Melbourne sees him follow in the footsteps of his father, Paul Spargo, who played 81 games for the Kangaroos from 1985-92.
Spargo becomes Shinboner No.1078.
