The opposition

The Giants return to their home away from home looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to the in-form Swans, where inaccurate finishing proved costly for Adam Kingsley’s side.

GWS managed just 8.18 in the 41-point loss to their interstate rivals, leaving them on the fringes of the top 10 with a 2-4 record. Despite the result, Clayton Oliver's strong start to life in orange continued, with the midfielder winning 37 disposals and nine clearances at the SCG.

Club stalwart Toby Greene is set to make history in Round 7 by becoming GWS' all-time games record-holder, overtaking former captain and teammate Callan Ward’s mark of 267 appearances.

On the injury front, the Giants could be bolstered by some handy ins ahead of Sunday with Jesse Hogan, Aaron Cadman, Stephen Coniglio and Brent Daniels all likely to rejoin the team.

Running hot

You could highlight a large percent of names coming out of North Melbourne’s thrashing of Richmond in Round 6, but none were as significant as Paul Curtis and his six-goal haul.

In a career-best afternoon, the forward started on fire, kicking three first-term goals before capping the day off with three more in the last.

Expect the Giants to keep a close eye on the damaging No.25, who is dangerous in the air and at ground level.

What the coach has said

North Melbourne senior coach Alastair Clarkson post-game v Richmond: "All we want to work on is our process and method. There were parts of the game where Richmond had their chances, and it could have looked very, very different on the scoreboard at half-time if they'd taken them. We'll just keep working on our method.

"(Cooper) Trembath, I don't think he touched the ball in the first half (but) he still competed hard for us and went into the ruck. Just pleased that if these guys can stick to their processes, they can get themselves back into the game if they've been a little bit quiet early."

Milestone man

Sunday's match will mark the 150th AFL appearance for North Melbourne's 2016 rookie selection out of East Fremantle, Cam Zurhaar.

Strong through the core with an appetite for the contest, 'Bull' has been an electric presence in the Roos’ forward line since debuting in 2017.

He's booted 206 goals over his time at Arden Street, but after 23 disposals, 11 marks and six intercepts at half-back last weekend against the Tigers, he may have found a new role for the weeks to come.
