Gun forward Paul Curtis is back in the selection frame after serving his three-match suspension for rough conduct.

Curtis last featured in North Melbourne’s one-point Round 14 win over West Coast and shapes as a timely inclusion as the Kangaroos prepare to take on Collingwood under Friday night lights at Marvel Stadium.

North Melbourne has at least one forced out this week, with onballer George Wardlaw set to miss the next 3-4 weeks with a hamstring strain.

The club’s reserves team had the bye last weekend, so there is no exposed form to pick from, but Zane Duurmsa, Griffin Logue and Zac Banch were among the emergencies for the Roos’ Round 17 trip to South Australia.

Tom Powell made his return from a groin injury against Essendon on June 28 and could be in line to replace Wardlaw for what would be his 100th AFL game. Powell last featured at AFL level in Round 8.

Bailey Scott will be in the mix given his recent run of form in the VFL. He’s coming off a 31-disposal and one-goal performance against the Bombers, playing as an inside midfielder.

Untried mid-season draftee Ollie Griffin could get a look-in as a forward option. The youngster has booted 10 goals from his last three games at VFL level.

Zac Fisher (26 disposals, 10 marks) and Riley Hardeman (18 disposals, six marks) could also come into consideration after their solid outings against Essendon.
