North Melbourne will need to make at least one change ahead of its clash with Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.

Tom Blamires will miss out, having suffered a concussion in last Friday night’s loss to Collingwood.

Midfielder Bailey Scott shapes as a potential inclusion, following another standout performance in the VFL.

Scott put in a tireless shift playing on the ball against the Magpies, finishing with a game-high 43 disposals including nine inside 50s and six clearances.

"He was awesome. He's been really strong all year, particularly in the last month, and I couldn't be prouder of the way he's covered the ground [against Collingwood],” VFL coach Adam Marcon said.

Also catching eyes was mid-season draftee Ollie Griffin (12 disposals, seven marks, two contested marks), who again hit the scoreboard and presented strongly as a forward.

The No.42 kicked two first-half goals in the curtain-raiser at Marvel Stadium and added an incredible third in the last quarter, somehow splitting the sticks from the boundary line in the right forward pocket.

High-flying forward Zane Duursma responded to his omission from the AFL side with two goals from his 14 touches, while River Stevens notched 19 disposals and a goal.

"Zane's attitude and effort was also really strong all day. He had to fight pretty hard under plenty of pressure down there, so I'm glad he got a bit of a reward on the scoreboard,” Marcon said.

Robert Hansen jnr will be in the frame for a season debut after gathering 27 disposals against the Pies. Josh Goater and Jacob Konstanty were managed last weekend and will come into consideration for recalls. 

Behind the ball, Hugo Mikunda (18 disposals, five rebound 50s) and Griffin Logue (15 disposals, five intercepts) could also be looked at heading into Round 19.
