Onballer Tom Powell must wait another week or two before pushing for his AFL return after reaggravating his groin injury at training last week.
Powell, who played his 99th AFL match in Round 8, had made a short-lived return at VFL level before suffering the setback.
"After (that VFL return game), he had an incident kicking at training where he felt shut down with his ability to produce power," North Melbourne head of performance Kevin White said.
"Across the last week he is improving and trained fully today.
"He will look to bank another couple of strong on-field sessions along with strength targets before becoming available for game time."
Defender Tom Blamires is recovering after he was concussed during a tackle in Friday night's match against Collingwood.
Blamires, who was removed from the game after presenting with concussion symptoms, will undergo mandatory concussion protocols.
"Tom completed a controlled running and kick session this morning," White said.
"We expect him to transition into full training as of next week."
Midfielder George Wardlaw is on the road to recovery after scans last week revealed a hamstring strain.
"George is now starting to regain good strength again in his hamstring after the first week of weakness on testing," White said.
"He is graduating his loading in gym and on ground which will progress across the next couple of weeks before reintegration to group training."
