North Melbourne Werribee has extended its unbeaten start to the 2026 season, winning by 67 points against the Casey Demons at ETU Stadium on Saturday.

The Roos never had any doubt about the final result, leading at every break and increasing the lead in every quarter.

A very consistent performance throughout, the Kangaroos kicked two goals in the first term, followed by three goals in every term after.

The final score saw North Melbourne Werribee win 11.11 (77) to 1.4 (10).

Midfielder Ava Seton was the star of the show, collecting a game-high 32 disposals and kicking an equal game-high three goals, including a crumbing effort in the third term. 

Nyakoat Dojiok also booted through three goals of her own, including a checkside effort early in the final quarter. 

Immediate impact

In her first game for North Melbourne Werribee, Addison Baars made an immediate impact, gathering 17 disposals and booting through two goals.

The difference

North Melbourne Werribee only won the inside 50 count 34-30, with the 67-point difference being a result of the efficiency of scoring, getting on the scoreboard from 65 per cent of the forward-50 entries.

North Melbourne Werribee has a bye next week but return to action in Round 12 against the Western Bulldogs. The home game at Melbourne Avalon Airport Oval will commence at 3.30pm on Saturday, August 1.
