The 13.15 (93) to 8.14 (62) result puts a massive dent in the Kangaroos' wildcard aspirations, with the Saints leaping up to 10th on the ladder.
North Melbourne sits in 13th, now one game and percentage behind the Saints.
St Kilda booted the last three goals of the third term to kick clear and set up the win, with Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera the catalyst with three third-quarter goals of his own.
He finished with four goals and 46 disposals, while Harry Sheezel was North Melbourne's best with 29 touches and a goal.
