With North Melbourne coming off its biggest win of the season, it is unlikely to make many unforced changes for the clash with the top-of-the-table Cats.

If the Roos do look to mix things up, there were some strong individual performers in the VFL that the match committee can look to.

North Media previews those in the mix for Round 8 selection.

Defenders

Luke McDonald was a late out against the Blues due to knee soreness, and will be looking to return to the fold on Sunday.

Ben McKay will be tested later in the week as he overcomes a quad injury, and he or Sam Durdin may be called upon if Scott Thompson’s abductor injury forces him out.

Midfielders

Aaron Hall was tagged heavily in the VFL, but will certainly be in the mix for a senior return against the Cats.

Paul Ahern was quieter at the lower level, but still managed to show his quality, while Luke Davies-Uniacke was solid.

Tom Campbell continues to stake his claim for a senior return, with the ruckman having 18 disposals and 34 hit-outs.

Forwards

Curtis Taylor has been a stand-out in the VFL, and the promising youngster impressed again on the weekend, booting three goals to go with his 15 disposals.

Nathan Hrovat was an emergency on Sunday, and is a chance to be included.
