Aaron Hall is out to make a point in 2019.

“I’m looking forward to getting out on the park next year and proving a couple of people wrong,” he told SEN.

One of four new North Melbourne recruits alongside Jared Polec, Jasper Pittard and Dom Tyson, Hall is excited about what is possible for the club.

“They (North Melbourne) are definitely a team on the rise,” he said.

“With the four inclusions, it makes it a deeper squad and I think that’s exactly what they needed.

“I’m excited about the prospect of playing in September, and I’m sick of going on holidays at the end of August.

“But nothing comes easy in AFL footy, so it’s heads-down-bums-up over the summer and hopefully we can do some damage next year.”

Hall is also delighted to be playing home games in front of his family at Blundstone Arena.

“There was a couple of things that drew me to North,” Hall said.

“The Kangaroos’ ties with Hobart and Tasmania, and especially now with the fourth game, was really appealing.

“I can’t wait to play in my old backyard and my home in Hobart.”

Hall said after meeting coach Brad Scott and general manager of football Cameron Joyce, he was sure North was the right club for him.

“I could tell they were genuine guys, and that North were a genuine club and family orientated club.

“After chatting to those guys, I think that their plans for me can get the best out of my ability.”

An explosive and dangerous player, Hall sees his best football being played in the midfield.

“I think that using my power and speed to come out of the stoppage and deliver the ball is my niche,” he said.

“Brad (Scott) has said the same things, and that’s what he sees for me.”
