Two Gold Coast Suns have been cited by the Match Review Officer for striking North Melbourne midfield star Shaun Higgins. 

Higgins’ recent form has seen him draw an increased amount of attention, with Steven May and Alex Sexton’s actions landing the pair in hot water. 

Sexton’s incident was classified as misconduct, and he can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea. 

May has been charged with striking against Higgins, and is able to accept a $2000 sanction with an early plea.

Ben Cunnington has also been reported for making ‘careless contact with an umpire’ in the third quarter.

Cunnington can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.
