With North Melbourne's first home game in almost a month on Sunday, the club’s official Facebook page asked the following:

"In your opinion, what does North need to do to walk away from Etihad Stadium on Sunday night with a victory?"

These are just some of the best responses:

Paul Filakis
More defensive pressure from the midfield and more attack off the half back line.

Edmund Soon

Make sure to shut down Scott Thompson, P Dangerfield and Sloane; they are major ball carriers for the Crows and if they can be stopped (only way to curb the influence is win the ball ourselves, play it our way so they have to change their game plan), the likes of Tippett and Walker will not have good supply. Goldy also has to hold his own against Jacobs, should be a good ruck duel.

Josh Lancaster

Need the boys in the middle to lift, get our clearances up and bomb it in to the forward line, Petrie due for a big one!

Darren Versaico

Think like a winner before you walk on the ground. Hold your heads high, play for your team mates, be first to the ball, play front and square. WANT to win, win contested possession, play four quarters, kick straight, do not hesitate. Play with passion and heart, do this...and you will win the game.

Simon Smyth

Show two tapes during the week. Round 3 V Geelong to get the confidence up and show how awesome we can be. Then show the 1998 Grand Final to fire the boys up, confirming how much we all hate Adelaide!

Nick Papadakis

This is a very big game for North. A win would show that we have improved despite disappointing efforts earlier in the season. Adelaide are in red hot form and are more than capable of winning away from South Australia. So if North can put up a decent effort and even come away with the four points, it will silence a lot of critics. Go Roos!

Lynden Kronk

Playing as a team, a brand of footy that is tough, direct, rapid ball movement, passionate and uncompromising. Do not overuse the ball as we do not have the sort of skill level under pressure needed to maintain that game style. Just show us a four quarter never say die effort and most of us will be happy Roos supporters!

Kerry Hoobin

They need to play a game of football that consists of utter dedication and confidence in their ability to play four quarters of hard, tough, unrelenting football as well as sticking to the coaches game plan. Never give up and believe in each other and your team mates, cohesion, confidence and consistency.

No more melt downs and thinking the game is in the bag even if you are 100 pts up, fight and fight to the very end, now go out and make us members proud.

Karyn Dick

All 22 players to put their bodies on the line, kick goals and play as a team and be proud of the jumper you are wearing. Include some shinboner spirit, man on man, never give up until the final siren rings! I would be happy if you all could do that. But boys please don't just stand there looking like tourists! C'mon ROO BOYS LET'S DO IT!
