North Melbourne had its first skills session at Aegis Park on Wednesday as preparations continue for the 2012 season.

Conditions couldn't have been any more different than what the players experienced over the past three weeks in Utah, with ice and snow replaced by sun.

While much of the focus was on precision kicking over distance, perhaps the greatest challenge came late in the session with a series of three-minute runs; the aim for the players to run as far as they could in that time.
