North Melbourne’s VFL side will be bolstered in 2020, with the additions of former Sydney Swan Toby Pink, and exciting small-forward Adam Tipungwuti.

Pink, a 195-centimetre key-position player, joins Dan Robinson and Ty Leonardis as former Swans in the VFL program.

Tipungwuti arrives from the NT Thunder, where his exciting displays attracted AFL interest in the lead-up to the 2019 Mid-Season Draft.

The 23-year-old will add another element to the Roos’ forward line with his speed and skill.

Pink and Tipungwuti are among a number of new names that will wear the royal blue and white stripes this year, including former Collingwood VFL defender, Adrian Karatzas, and VAFA Rising Star winner, Hamish Dick.

There are also some familiar names, with Nathan Hrovat and Tom McKenzie moving from North’s AFL list to the VFL program.

Ahead of the 2020 season, the VFL has introduced a development list made up of 19-year-old players.

This new rule will see talented young players introduced to the VFL, and the inclusion of players from North Melbourne’s Next Generation Academy.
