Ben Brown has moved to allay fears he suffered a serious calf issue, with the key forward hoping to only miss a few weeks.

“We went out to get an initial diagnosis which found out there was a little strain in the calf,” he told Nine News.

The North spearhead pulled up sore after training on Tuesday and has since been in for two scans.

“The secondary scan was just to clear things up and make sure we were 100 per cent sure what we were dealing with,” he said.

Brown says he may have dodged a bullet with the club’s medical team not too concerned with the injury’s severity.

“First viewing yesterday they (the medical team) were pretty happy … they didn’t think there was too much going on.

“We’re feeling really positive about where it is … I feel really good hopefully it’s just a couple of weeks and I’m back out there and, nothing much to see.”
