North Melbourne will kick off its Marsh Series campaign against the Western Bulldogs on Friday night.
The joint tenants at Marvel Stadium will face off in their first competitive hit-outs for 2020, with the first bounce at 7.10pm.
Months of preparation will be put to an early test, with plenty of new faces looking to push their claims for Round 1 selection.
Skipper Jack Ziebell will miss the game due to a calf niggle, but says he'll ready for the season-opener on March 22.
“I’ll miss the first Marsh just so I can get my training loads back up and then play the second one down in Hobart (March 9 v Sydney), have the week off and be ready to go for Round 1.”
The game is the beginning of a big weekend for the club, with the annual Fan Day on Saturday, and the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos' Round 3 fixture on Sunday.
