While maintaining a competitive edge will no doubt become challenging during isolation, Shaun Atley won’t be lacking any motivation when footy eventually returns.

The North speedster is back at the family farm in Corop, and reigniting the old sibling “rivalry” with his brothers, Joe, who plays for Port Adelaide, and VFL-listed Jacob.

But these days, that so-called rivalry is more about support, as the brothers put team allegiances aside to work together and stay fit and healthy during a tough time.

"This time of year I never really get back home so to be able to go back and spend time with family is pretty special," oldest brother Shaun told AAP.

"There's a footy oval in town, but we've got enough space on the farm to be able to do some running sessions.

"We've got a dirt track down the paddock that goes for a couple of kilometres so you can do most of the running there."

Shaun has played 197 games across 10 seasons for the Kangaroos, while Joe is still in the early stages of his career, with four appearances at the Power.

Alongside Jacob, who plays with Essendon in the VFL, the brothers are keeping each other on their toes, with games postponed.

"We've got a bit of a home gym set up as well, so more than enough for training,” Shaun added.

North fans were given a unique insight into Atley's training routine in a recent edition of Takeovers, presented by Mazda. Check out the video below.
