With the 2019 season passing the half-way mark and North Melbourne with a bye this coming weekend, North Media has taken a look at the Roos’ best contributors on the stat sheet.
It's no surprise to see Ben Cunnington leading a range of a categories, with the midfielder in All-Australian form.
Cunnington leads the Roos for contested possessions (17.2 per game), and clearances (8.3), as well as sitting second to Shaun Higgins for average disposals (28.2).
Prior to suffering a shoulder injury in Round 12, Higgins was also enjoying a stellar season, leading North in disposals (28.8), and uncontested possessions (20.1).
Higgins also ranks second for metres gained (406.8), and third for clearances (4.1).
Skipper Jack Ziebell has played in both midfield and forward roles so far in 2019, and has impacted in both positions.
He's second for tackles (5.1), third for contested possessions (8.8) and averages a goal a game.
Another midfielder who has quietly gone about his business in a career-best year is Trent Dumont.
The number 14 ranks third for disposals (25.1), and second for kicks (14.1) and uncontested possessions (17.3).
Jed Anderson has become a critical member of the midfield in recent years, and the stats highlight just how important he is.
Anderson leads the Roos for tackles (5.7) and pressure acts (24), and is second for clearances (4.4)
Jared Polec was recruited for his outside run and precision kicking, and he has brought just that.
Polec tops the club in metres gained (410.3) and kicks (14.7), and sits second for effective kicks (9.3).
Fellow recruit Jasper Pittard has been an impressive performer in the North backline.
The former Power defender is first at North for spoils (6.5) and one percenters (7), and second for marks (6.1).
Joining him in defence is Robbie Tarrant, who has enjoyed a brilliant year of his own.
Tarrant leads the marking category (6.2) and sits second for one percenters (6.2) and spoils (5.4), as well as boasting an impressive 85.6% disposal efficiency (the most of any North player with more than 5 games).
Tarryn Thomas has been a revelation in the forward line, with his forward pressure a standout feature of his game.
The Rising star sits top of the tree for tackles inside 50 (1.1), highlighting his intensity in the front half.
There are no surprises in the goal department, with Ben Brown’s 2.6 goals per game a clear standout. Brown also sits top for contested marks (1.2).
Nick Larkey follows him with 1.4 goals per game, with Cam Zurhaar next best at 1.3.
And when he isn’t kicking goals, the number 44 is setting them up, leading the club for goal assists (1.1).
