Leigh Adams (knee)

“Leigh had some minor arthroscopic surgery in the off-season.

“He’s spent a fair bit of time developing strength and endurance and some conditioning through some good cross-training. We’ve now got him running over ground.

“He’ll back into full training by Christmas. We’ll spend the next few weeks getting very heavy loads into him, but just being careful about the multi-directional work that he progresses into.”

Scott Thompson (knee)

“He had some knee surgery at the end of the year. It’s a problem that he’s had with his knee for a considerable number of years since he was quite young. We just thought it was time to tidy things up.

“He’s started running over ground. He’ll run on pretty similar time-frames to Leigh Adams.”

Kieran Harper (ankle, elbow)

“Kieran had some ankle trouble at the end of the year. He was able to get through the season with it, but doc (doctor Andy McMahon) and the surgeon felt it was best to just go in and make sure we don’t have anything to deal with next year.

“He’s doing really well with his cross-training program. He’s now just started running over ground.

“I don’t think we’ll see Kieran back into full training until just after Christmas.”

Taylor Garner (ankle)

“Taylor Garner had some ankle surgery at the end of the year and by the end of this camp we should have progressed him back into training with the boys.”

Tom Curran (foot)

“We’ve had some great scans recently. The specialist reviewed his foot and it showed really good signs of healing for the first time in a while now.

“He’ll still be a bit of a slow burn, but we’re really happy with Tom’s progress.

“We aim to get him running by February.”

Cam Delaney (Toe)

“Although it seems like a relatively minor thing, the big toe in a foot is really important in a weight-bearing running sport. When you have surgery on it, the time-frames in terms of coming back can be a little bit unpredictable.

“He’s not far away from running over ground. We should have him training with the boys by Christmas.”

Mason Wood (Knee)

“He was very similar to Scott Thompson’s knee, just a bit of a tidy-up that we thought we’d bite the bullet with.

“He’s now running over ground and we should have him back into training by Christmas.””

Majak Daw (Knee)

“He’s worked really hard at his strength and conditioning, his neuro-muscular control around the knee, his stability is really good.

“He did a lot of landing preparation last year and we are really happy with the strategies and skills in those areas. It’s just a matter of giving the graft and the surgery time to heal appropriately.”

Aaron Mullett (Toe)

“The surgery went really well, but the time-frames can be a little different. His is slightly delayed, he had a little bit of infection following surgery, but it’s settled really well.

“We’ve just gone a little bit more conservative with Aaron. He’s started running on the AlterG (Anti-gravity treadmill) and we expect to have him running well over ground by Christmas.”
