Ziebell received a nasty late knock in the club’s intra-club match in Ballarat last week when Ben Speight drove his knee into his lower back during a marking contest.
Many feared the worst for the 19 year-old after he had to be helped from the ground by North medical staff. Luckily, the news was favorable with the midfielder cleared of any serious damage.
Ziebell has had a bad run of injuries with two broken legs in as many seasons and is hoping for a change of fortunes in 2011.
Rawlings only played for the first few minutes of the match and was forced to the sidelines after suffering from slight hamstring tightness.
Although he could have re-joined the action, North’s doctor Dan Bates and Director of Medical Services Steve Saunders opted not to take the risk and instead prepare him for the pre-season competition.
Both players are expected to join full training in the lead up to the matches against the Bulldogs and Geelong.
