kangaroos.com.au says

After playing the first four games of the year, Campbell spent the middle part with North Ballarat. In the VFL he spent more time than normal playing purely as a midfielder adding an extra string to his bow.

On his return to the senior side, he was pegged as the 'super sub' after several quality games coming off the bench to provide a spark. Against Richmond he had eight crucial last quarter disposals as well as a big goal late after forcing a turnover from Trent Cotchin.

He kicked six goals in the last two weeks of the season, finishing off well where other players struggled.
