North Melbourne coach Brad Scott says Jack Ziebell will be 'fine to play' in Saturday’s clash against the Hawks.

Ziebell left the ground during the second half against the Lions and was subbed out of the game, but scans on his back on Monday proved positive.

“The scans are pristine. There’s no damage there, it’s just bruising as we suspected,” Scott said on Thursday.

“We just wanted to be sure that there wasn’t anything underlying with his issue. He’ll have a very light session today (Thursday) but that’s not unusual given we’ve got a six day break.”

Scott also confirmed forward Lindsay Thomas would be in the 25 having been a late withdrawal last week.

“We’ll name our squad this afternoon and he’ll (Thomas) be in that barring any mishaps at training. He looks OK and we think he’s a pretty important addition to our side."

Hamish McIntosh isn’t as lucky though, the ruckman has been unable to train fully since suffering a bruised knee against the Bulldogs, and Scott says he won’t picked until he can do so.

"There's no structural damage. The imaging that we had taken suggests it's exactly what we thought and it's an old injury," Scott added.

"We thought it would recover and turn around really quickly. Hamish is really frustrated because he thought it would be at worst a one-week thing but it's not improving as rapidly as we thought.”
