LeasePlan and North Melbourne have come together in 2010 to present five Carn the Kids events at Kangaroos' games in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. This partnership has provided over 1,000 worthy kids and carers with a fun day out complete with special visits from AFL players, hot pies, drinks, face paint and showbags.

Saturday night's match against Essendon marks the final Carn the Kids event for 2010, with 400 excited kids and carers from the CREATE Foundation, Variety, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the SAIL Multicultural Program, the Royal Children's Hospital, Open Family Australia and Camp Quality enjoying the sights and sounds of an AFL match.

LeasePlan's Carn the Kids program has been giving fun days out to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity since 2003. As well as North Melbourne, Carn the Kids has enjoyed support from the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Victory and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. These partnerships have allowed more than 15,000 kids and carers to attend ‘fun days out’ over the last seven years.

Drew Petrie is North Melbourne’s official Carn the Kids Ambassador for the year and will be meeting some of the excited kids on Saturday night.
