Polling in the coaches votes for the first time since Round 8, Daniel Wells was awarded a perfect 10 by Brad Scott and Adelaide’s Brenton Sanderson.

A game high 31 disposals and a stellar performance catapulted Wells into second on the North Melbourne leaderboard. He sits just six votes behind Andrew Swallow who failed to register any after a quiet evening.

Throughout the season, the coaches votes have indicated when Wells plays a quality game, he’s in the top echelon of players on the ground. The elite midfielder has only polled in four games so far this season including two sixes and the 10 from Sunday.

Two North players were in the votes for the first time this year with Robbie Tarrant and Shaun Atley being recognised. Atley had been on the verge of a vote in previous rounds with several strong performances while Tarrant’s career high four goals made him impossible to ignore.

Leigh Adams received votes for the third time in 12 games and his eight tops the five he polled against Brisbane in Round 9.

Ryan Bastinac also made an appearance on the list for the first time since Round 6 with three votes coming after 25 disposals and 2 goals.
