Brad Scott and the North Melbourne match committee have named the co vice-captain in the 25-man squad to play Geelong at Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
The 21-year old will line up for his first match of the year after serving a three-match suspension for a hit on Saints’ star Nick Riewoldt last year.
A fan favourite, Ziebell’s return has already created some excitement with kangaroos.com.au publishing a special video to mark the occasion (link).
Also named in the Roos’ squad is Luke Delaney. The big bodied defender listed as a possible inclusion to play on the likes of Tom Hawkins and James Podsiadly who have dominated in recent times in Geelong’s forward line. Last week his younger brother Cam debuted for the club and impressed against the Giants. The pair will be hoping to play alongside one another in what would be a dream come true for the Delaney family.
And after a few stand-out performances in the VFL, Ben Warren could also be rewarded with a call-up.
North will finalise its side on Friday afternoon.
