Petrie's contender
Drew Petrie's year continues to go from strength to strength. In the mix for club champion honours, he's also excelled with his ability to thrill the crowds.
On Sunday Petrie received his second nomination for the Panasonic Goal of the Year after stealing the ball from an opponent, evading an oncoming tackle then roosting a kick 60 metres long to bring the home crowd to its feet
The North Melbourne vice-captain has booted 35 goals in 2011 including five against the Bulldogs and registered his highest possession tally (23) since 2006 in the win.
He has captivated audiences with his form in front of goal and in the contest, also boasting three nominations for Mark of the Year.
