North Melbourne's Michael Firrito is available to play against Carlton on Friday night after the match day report laid against him for striking was thrown out.

The Match Review Panel findings were as follows:
"The match day report laid against North Melbourne's Michael Firrito for striking the Brisbane Lions' Simon Black during the second quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. It was the view of the panel that player Firrito had his eyes on the ball as he approached a marking attempt by player Black. Firrito was slightly pushed off balance by Brisbane Lions player Jack Redden, but continued with his attempt to spoil and made high and late contact with his upper arm to player Black. A 50m penalty was paid against player Firrito. It was the view of the panel that Firrito's action was not a striking action and no further action was taken."
