As North Melbourne’s VFL team pulled off a come-back win, plenty of players stood tall and staked their claim for a place in the senior 22.

North Media takes a look at those in the mix.

Defenders

Sam Wright was outstanding in defence on Sunday, especially during the first quarter onslaught. Wright had 19 disposals and kicked a goal in the win.

Ben McKay has been in strong form in recent weeks, and he had 12 disposals and 6 marks. He could be utilised for key-back Scott Thompson.

Midfielders

Paul Ahern was the travelling emergency against the Brisbane Lions, before flying back to play his part in the VFL win, having 10 disposals and a goal.

Luke Davies-Uniacke has performed brilliantly since dropping back to the VFL, and he continued his form with 25 disposals and a goal.

Tom Campbell has been one of the best players in the competition this season, and this was continued on Sunday, as he amassed 25 disposals and 38 hitouts.

Forwards

Lachie Hosie continues to impress in the forward line, kicking another three goals.

Taylor Garner is a chance for selection, with his club-imposed suspension expiring.

Curtis Taylor performed well in the forward line with 13 disposals, 5 tackles and 1 goal.
