A star key defender, Birch arrived at Arden St during the 2023 AFLW Trade Period in a big coup for the Roos.

She began her career at the Western Bulldogs, winning a premiership and playing 22 games before joining the Demons in a 2019 trade.

She spent the next five seasons at Melbourne, where she became a two-time All-Australian (2020, 2022 S6) and won her second AFLW premiership in 2022 Season 7.

In her first season as a Kangaroo in 2024, she remarkably shook off a pre-season MCL injury to make her club debut in Brisbane in Week 1.

She was at the heart of the Roos’ defence as they defeated the Lions in the Grand Final, becoming the only player in history to win premierships at three separate clubs.
