Her ability to shut down dangerous forwards like Jesse Wardlaw and Chloe Scheer was pivotal in the Roos’ strong start to the season, while her calmness and composure repeatedly came to the fore in frenzied moments.

A part of the competition's stingiest defence, Ferguson landed a position in the All-Australian squad for the first time in her career.
