Hailing from Geelong, the defender spent her debut season in brown and gold, playing six games for the Hawks in their inaugural campaign of 2022 Season 7.

Before getting picked up Hawthorn, Shannon represented Vic Country twice and made both the U16 and U18 All-Australian teams in the same year before joining the AFLW Academy in 2018.

The 24-year-old was North Melbourne’s second signing of the 2023 AFLW Sign and Trade Period and quickly became an important player at Arden Street.

Slotting seamlessly into the Kangaroos backline rotation, she played all 13 games in her first season at the club.

She found it tougher to force her way into a strong defence in the club’s first premiership year in 2024, but played an important role in three games, including the breakthrough qualifying final win over Adelaide.
