Brad Scott and North Melbourne’s match committee have made three changes to the team that lost to the Bulldogs.

Nathan Grima, Ben Warren and Levi Greenwood are the inclusions, while Hamish McIntosh and Sam Wright are out due to injury.


Grima is set to play their first game for North Melbourne in 2012 after showing strong form at VFL affiliate Werribee.

“We are looking forward to having Narni back in the side,” Scott told kangaroos.com.au in his Interactive Team of the Week video.

“It’s been a pretty long lay-off since that medial ligament (injury) in the NAB Cup. We’ve really been patient with him and cautious, but he’s an important part of our defence and a super-competitive player so it’s good to have him in our back six.”

Warren's 19 goals this season for the Tigers make a strong case for his inclusion. While some claimed he would have to take the spot of a fellow forward, Saturday's game at AAMI Stadium will see Warren plying his trade alongside Aaron Edwards and Drew Petrie as North’s key targets in attack.

“It’s a testament to his hard work and intensity at the contest at VFL level. He’s been a consistent performer there and he’s given the match committee no choice but to pick him through his performances.”

Meanwhile, Greenwood adds a defensive side to the midfield. After his first appearance of the year in Round 5 was as a substitute, he’ll be hoping to get a full game under his belt against the Power.

Port Adelaide's array of tall forwards make the inclusion of Grima a logical one. Alongside the Delaney brothers and Scott Thompson, the North back-line will be further strengthened to cope in contested situations in the defensive 50.
