Lexi Hamilton will become the 44th player to represent the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos on Sunday, with her place in the side to take on Adelaide this weekend confirmed.

While the game will be her first for North Melbourne in AFLW she already has experience at the top level having played one game for Gold Coast in 2020, taking part in a one-point loss to GWS in horrendous weather.

A 180cm ruck, Hamilton was added into the squad off of the back of a strong VFLW campaign representing North Melbourne where she finished fourth in the club best and fairest. She was signed as an injury replacement player for Elisha King who will miss the season with a ruptured ACL.

She kicked six goals in 12 games in last season’s VFLW campaign, with her best performance coming in Round 12 where she finished with 24 disposals and 32 hitouts.

Congratulations Lexi!
