Todd Goldstein's best game of 2012 has been reflected with his first votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.

Brad Scott and Michael Voss were clearly impressed with Goldstein's 28-possession, 47-hitout game; Goldstein went close to receiving the maximum ten votes, while the next best was five.

Leigh Adams polled for the second time year for his 25-possession, seven clearance tally. Multiple efforts by Adams late in the third quarter were a highlight and helped to slow down Brisbane's momentum.

Also picking up five votes was Andrew Swallow. It’s the sixth time this season his name has featured. Taking that into account, it's no surprise Swallow currently sits 12 votes clear of the second-highest ranked North player, Ryan Bastinac.

The end to Brent Harvey's quiet patch was also recognised with four votes. After a stunning start to 2012, Harvey had been struggling to find the ball recently. 27 disposals against the Lions went a long way to silencing his critics though.

Sam Wright also polled votes for the first time this season. His four goals helped break the game open early and gave his side a match-winning lead.
