The AFL has confirmed the dates and times for Round 22 of the 2022 Smithy’s Victorian Football League (VFL) season.

North Melbourne's final match of the year will see the side host the Gold Coast Suns at Arden Street Oval on Saturday, August 20.

Bouncedown is at 9.45am AEST.

The final round of the home and away season will feature 10 matches and be played on the weekend of Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21.

Saturday’s action includes seven matches, with every game featuring at least one side currently in finals contention.

Among the highlights is a clash between the Brisbane Lions and Casey Demons at Moreton Bay Sports Complex. The match serves as a potential finals preview, with the Lions currently sitting in third place on the ladder, while the Demons are undefeated with a 15-0 record.

Arch-rivals Carlton and Collingwood meet at Ikon Park in the Seven Network broadcast match on Sunday in a game that could have huge implications for both teams’ finals hopes. The Blues are currently in fourth place on the ladder, with the Magpies in seventh.

All matches in the 2022 Smithy’s VFL season are live streamed via the AFL website (afl.com.au) and AFL Live Official App. Smithy’s VFL broadcast partner, the Seven Network, broadcasts one weekly game live and free on Channel Seven in Victoria and on 7Plus nationally.
