The North Melbourne Football Club has invited over 3,000 members of Victoria's multicultural community to attend this Sunday's game against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG through its partnership with the Australian Multicultural Foundation (AMF).

Along with the Scanlon Foundation, the AMF is the Roos' partner in the Learning and Life Centre, which is being developed as part of the state-of-the-art facility at Arden Street. The AMF is also the club's match day partner.

Dr Hass Dellal, Executive Director of the Australian Multicultural Foundation, said the AMF is pleased to be a community partner with North Melbourne's Learning and Life Centre.

“The match not only celebrates the richness of our community, but will bring together people from all walks of life to be a part of our community through 'Our Game'", Dellal said.

Kangaroos Chief Executive Eugene Arocca said that the game is an important milestone in the club's work to forge closer links with the community.

"As an AFL football club we are in a unique position to make a positive contribution to the multicultural community through the Learning and Life Centre at Arden Street," Arocca said.

"Sport, and football in particular, has proved to be a positive, unifying force for all Australians and with the AMF and the Scanlon Foundation, we want to take the lead in this area.

"Many of the people at the game will soon be involved in Learning and Life Centre programs and there is no better way to introduce them to North Melbourne than to invite them to a game, and I'd like to thank the Scanlon Foundation and the AMF for making this possible."

The Learning and Life Centre is on track for completion by the end of the year and will welcome thousands of local school students and members of the multicultural community from 2010.
