Young gun Paul Curtis has been nominated for the AFL Goal of the Year after his ripper at the beginning of the third term against the Power in Round 9.

The forward was on the end of a Miller Bergman handball just inside the forward-50 arc, before gathering some momentum, fending off Riley Bonner and bouncing one home on his trusted left boot.

Quickly becoming a fan favourite among North Melbourne fans, Curtis went onto finish the game with 17 disposals, four marks and a goal assist in addition to his classy major.
