He hasn't played a senior game since the 11th of July last year, but Drew Petrie has left no doubts about his ability and importance with a spectacular high-flying mark at training.

A certainty to be named in the North Melbourne team later this afternoon, Petrie had to battle foot injuries throughout 2010 and only played two matches, but during those, he was far from fit.

Rumours circulated in January regarding a possible re-occurrence of the foot injuries, but the big man was quick to prove the doubters wrong with a return to his best in the NAB Cup Series, especially in the later games when he was able to gain his touch.

At a recent training session, kangaroos.com.au had its cameras rolling, and was were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of what the vice-captain has planned for the opposition this year.
