Mid-season draftee Lachie Hosie has started his time at Arden Street in style, booting three goals in the VFL on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was a key player in the Roos’ upset win over Richmond, a side which was previously undefeated across seven games.

Hosie slotted his first goal during the opening term, finishing with five scoring shots for 3.2, to go with 10 disposals and eight marks.

The Glenelg recruit had been leading the goal-kicking in the SANFL competition, before joining North with pick 5 at the mid-season draft.

Fellow youngster Curtis Taylor and dynamic forward Taylor Garner also booted three goals apiece in the 29-point victory.

Paul Ahern was named the Limerick Castle VFL MVP for his efforts on the day.
