The Roosters were never headed and a four goal to one first term set the tone for the afternoon as Collingwood slumped to its second straight defeat against a North Melbourne aligned team.
Kangaroo Aaron Edwards booted three goals for the victors, while teammate Michael Wundke continued his recent good form with three. Both will be vying for the spot in the senior side which has been left vacant by the injured Ben Warren.
In good news for North Melbourne coach Darren Crocker, midfielder Sam Power was named in the best for the Roosters, possibly paving the way for his return to the seniors after just one week in the VFL.
North Ballarat has a week off with the bye before coming up against the fourth-placed Box Hill Hawks.
