North Melbourne midfield gun George Wardlaw has won a Goal of the Year nomination for his brilliant snap against Port Adelaide in Round 7.
With the Kangaroos chasing the game in the final quarter, Wardlaw made space in the right forward pocket for spearhead Nick Larkey to find him with the handball.
Running away from goal, Wardlaw snapped across his body and split the sticks to bring the travelling North contingent to their feet.
The goal cut the gap to just eight points, setting up a thrilling finish in front of a hostile Port Adelaide crowd.
