It was only a short training session on Tuesday at Aegis Park but North Melbourne's coaches certainly did their best to make it a constructive one.

After a kicking drill, the players were divided into groups in order to refine their skills.

The midfielders worked with assistant coach Darren Crocker on stoppages, Brett Allison took goal-kicking practice, while Shane Watson instructed the backmen at the other end of the ground.

Brady Rawlings was a keen participant in training and could make a welcome return on Saturday against the Hawks and Jack Ziebell showed no signs of discomfort despite an awkward landing on the Skilled Stadium surface.

After hitting the track in the morning, the squad left the field for weights, before reviewing vision from the weekend's matches.

The players will have a rest from training on Wednesday, before returning to the track for an open session on Thursday, beginning at 2pm.
