Second-year player Zane Duursma is among three inclusions for North Melbourne ahead of Saturday night's clash with Geelong at Marvel Stadium.

Duursma, who impressed playing behind the ball at VFL level against Sydney on the weekend, has been recalled for his first AFL match since Round 17.

High-flying forward Finnbar Maley returns to the senior side, having been omitted after Round 18's match against Melbourne.

Maley kicked two first-quarter goals for the Reserves on Saturday, also pinch-hitting in the ruck as he finished with 13 disposals and seven tackles.

Small forward Robert Hansen jnr has also been recalled after showcasing his zip and smarts in the VFL, kicking two goals in the opening term.

Utility Callum Coleman-Jones comes out of the side after suffering a calf injury in the first quarter of his AFL return against the Swans.

Forward Cooper Harvey misses due to illness, while midfielder Will Phillips has been omitted.

Duursma, Maley and Hansen jnr are named on the interchange bench with Jacob Konstanty and second-gamer Zac Banch.

One of the five interchange players will be named substitute an hour before Saturday's 7.35pm AEST opening bounce.

Phillips, Zac Fisher and Taylor Goad are this week's emergencies.
