The North Melbourne Football Club today released ‘Worth the Wait’, a new documentary celebrating the Kangaroos’ undefeated 2024 AFLW premiership season. 

The film is a tribute to the historic season, culminating in the club’s first-ever AFLW flag, and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the team’s remarkable journey. 

It delves into the emotions and stories of the premiership heroes, capturing their perspective on an unforgettable season and the Grand Final triumph over the Brisbane Lions.

The documentary gives the Kangaroos’ faithful the chance to relive the iconic moments of the year and celebrate the hard-fought victory.

“We’re incredibly proud of our AFLW team and this documentary beautifully captures the passion, resilience and teamwork that made our inaugural flag so special,” North Melbourne CEO Jen Watt said.

The release comes as the Kangaroos prepare to kick off the 2025 season with a Round 1 clash against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

North Melbourne will unfurl the premiership flag at Arden Street Oval for the club’s first home game of the season in Round 2 against Port Adelaide on Sunday, August 24.
