North Melbourne today informed Eddie Ford, Kallan Dawson, Miller Bergman and Brynn Teakle they will not be offered contracts for the 2026 season.

Ford played 40 games across five seasons after making his debut in Round 20, 2021. Injury prevented him from continuing his consistent form in 2025, when he was unable to break into the senior team.

Dawson joined from VFL club Williamstown as a key position player via the 2022 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft. He played 19 games in his four seasons after making his debut in Round 20, 2022.

Bergman, selected with pick 38 in the 2021 National Draft, made his debut in his first year in 2022. He played 16 games in his four seasons at North Melbourne before an ACL injury sidelined him for the entire 2025 season.

Teakle was selected with pick No.8 in the 2024 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft after six games in two seasons at Port Adelaide. He went on to play 15 matches for the Kangaroos; five of those in 2025.

General manager of football Todd Viney thanked each player for their contribution to the club.

"We thank Eddie, Kallan, Miller and Brynn for their hard work and dedication to the club over their time here,” Viney said.

“We wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
