All-Australian livewire forward Alice O’Loughlin has signed a two-year contract extension, committing to the Kangaroos until at least the end of the 2027 season.
The announcement comes as O’Loughlin prepares to play her 50th career game in the Roos’ highly anticipated Round 4 clash against Collingwood at Arden Street Oval this Sunday.
Originally taken with Pick No.22 in the 2020 AFLW Draft, the 23-year-old has developed into a cornerstone of the Kangaroos' forward line.
O’Loughlin’s re-signing is a reward for a sensational 2024 campaign, where she cemented herself as one of the competition's most dangerous small forwards.
Her breakout season saw her named in the All-Australian team's forward pocket after booting 19 goals to win the club's leading goalkicker award.
The young star also proved her ability on the big stage, kicking three crucial goals in the 2024 AFLW Grand Final.
North Melbourne general manager of women’s football Erin Lorenzini praised O’Loughlin’s commitment and impact on the team.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Alice commit her future to the club for another two years,” Lorenzini said.
“She is a dynamic player with a strong work ethic, and her performance last season was outstanding. We believe she’s only just scratching the surface of her potential.
“Alice is a key part of our future, and we can’t wait to see what she achieves in the years to come.”
