North Melbourne small forward Zac Banch has earned a 2025 Virgin Australia Mark of the Year nomination for his courageous grab against St Kilda in Round 21 at Marvel Stadium.

With his eyes fixed on the ball, the No.45 launched himself into a contest with Saint Ryan Byrnes at half-back, clunking the mark on his chest before crashing to the turf.

The spectacular effort secures Banch a place among three finalists for this year's award.

A 2024 VFL premiership player with Werribee, Banch was snapped up by the Kangaroos with pick No.2 in this season's AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

He went on to make four appearances under senior coach Alastair Clarkson, debuting in Round 19 against Sydney at the SCG.

Voting is now open, with the overall winner determined by a combination of votes from the AFL All-Australian selection panel and the public.

Everyone who votes for their favourite mark will also have a chance to win $5,000 thanks to Virgin Australia.

The winner will be revealed at the Brownlow Medal on Monday, September 22.
