North Melbourne forward Cooper Harvey has signed a one-year contract extension, committing to the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
The 21-year-old was secured as a father-son selection with pick No.56 in the 2022 National Draft, and enjoyed a consistent latter half of the 2025 campaign.
After playing three games in his debut season, the son of Kangaroos games record holder Brent Harvey forced his way back into the senior side for the first time in two years in Round 18 and proved to be a consistent goal threat.
Harvey booted 10 goals across his final seven games of the year, including a career-best haul of four goals against Melbourne in Round 19.
North Melbourne’s head of football talent Brady Rawlings said Harvey’s late-season form was a clear indication of his potential.
“Cooper showed glimpses of what he’s capable of in the second half of this season,” Rawlings said.
“He was given his opportunity in the senior side late in the year and responded well, proving he has good goal sense and the versatility to play in multiple positions.
“We’re looking forward to watching him build on that momentum and grow into a consistent player.”
