The Kangaroos could be hunting for a replacement for Finn O'Sullivan as they prepare to face reigning premier Brisbane in Gather Round.

O'Sullivan was expected to undergo jaw surgery on Tuesday after receiving a knock in Good Friday's comeback win over Carlton.

Jacob Konstanty could be among the candidates to replace O'Sullivan if North Melbourne takes a reshuffled line-up to the Barossa Valley for Saturday's game.

The young forward kicked two goals and won 19 disposals in Friday's VFL win against the Blues, impressing with his pressure in his first game since being dropped from the AFL side after Round 2.

The in-form Zac Fisher (28 touches, eight marks) was among the standouts at Reserves level, while recruit Charlie Spargo (two goals, 17 disposals) may also figure in calculations after his best performance as a Kangaroo since arriving from Melbourne as a free agent.

Brayden George kicked a career-high four goals in the game at Arden St Oval, all in the first quarter, ensuring his name will also be considered when senior coach Alastair Clarkson meets with his selection committee.

Key defender Griffin Logue faces a fitness test as he returns from a hamstring injury suffered in the early stages of Round 2's loss to West Coast.

If fit, Logue could be called on to replace Toby Pink, who picked up a knee knock against the Blues. Pink's availability will be determined after the Kangaroos' training session on Thursday.

Young ruck Taylor Goad had 12 hitouts and eight disposals in the VFL game against the Blues, and may be considered as the Roos prepare for another game without suspended star ruck Tristan Xerri.
