Lachie Hosie has been drafted to North Melbourne with pick 5 in the 2019 NAB Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The 22-year-old forward from Glenelg in the SANFL has shown significant improvement.

At 189cm, Hosie will provide another tall option up forward.

“Lachie has been on the radar for some time, but we feel his improvement this year has been significant,” North national recruiting manager Mark Finnigan said. 

“His ability in the air and at ground level is really impressive and we think these traits, as well as his power and speed, will give him the scope to multiple roles. 

“Lachie is currently leading the SANFL goal kicking, with 21 from eight games,” Finnigan added.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Lachie, and we are certain he will give himself the best opportunity to play.”
